Overview of Service
A workplace accident is an injury or illness that occurs while you are in the course of your employment. Many of us spend one third or more of our day at our respective workplaces and chances are, accidents in there are bound to happen.
In Ontario, some workplaces are required by law to be covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), while others elect to be covered by WSIB. Sometimes, an accident at the workplace is caused by the negligence of your employer, colleague or another party and there is no WSIB coverage at all.
Either way, if you are injured at the workplace you may have a claim for compensation for your injuries, wage losses, rehabilitation expenses and other out-of-pocket expenses relating to the injury either through WSIB or another means.
At GBLV LLP, your recovery is our first priority. We also understand that in the aftermath of a workplace accident, your right to pursue benefits through WSIB or right to election can be confusing. The dedicated legal team at our Firm is determined to guide you through the process after a workplace injury to ensure your right to maximum compensation.
